The true constellations are mapped out
against a hand painted airbrushed sky

StarDome™ Features
This is the most realistic starfield on the

The fiber optic stars are lit with low heat, long
life LEDs (light emitting diodes), which show a true
star color. The LEDs are electronically controlled to create a
subtle star twinkling effect.

- These amazing starfields are extremely energy efficient & emit very little heat (no noisy fans).

4 sizes of fibers depict the larger and smaller
stars, and colored stars like Betelgeuse. and Rigel are tinted Red and blue. Each dome has a custom airbrushed sky mural

dimmed to provide a spectacular sunset effect!

StarDomes™ Advantage
A Stardome™ is a ready-to-install ceiling dome with a hand painted sky mural, and a dazzling, realistic array of twinkling fiber optic stars. The sky is lit with remotely controlled, dimmable, indirect cove lighting that illuminates the sky mural.
There are other starfield kits commercially available but Stardome™ offers distinct advantages over these products. To utilize these other kits, a consumer would have a dome built from foam or hire a contractor to build a dome with wood or metal framing. They would then need to have it sheet rocked, taped and sanded. This is a very messy, time consuming process.
Once construction of the dome is completed, the stars would then need to be mapped and drilled. The consumer would then need to install the fibers and couple the fibers to a commercially available light source. This requires getting up into the space above the dome, locating the holes, and gluing the fibers in place. The available light sources require a cooling fan and an accessible ventilated space. The end user would also need to specify and install their own cove light. Finally, an artist would be required to paint the dome looking up from a ladder or on his back à la Michelangelo. Installation of a Stardome™ would eliminate much of the cost, time, and mess associated with a do-it-yourself or contracted starfield project.
The Stardome™ also offers the additional exclusive advantage of using digital solid state lighting as the star light source with digital twinkling effect (DTE) which is technology proprietary to Numinus. The color of the starlight combined with the DTE creates the most realistic starfield on the market. The use of solid state lighting applications is one of the fastest growing sectors in the lighting field due to their long life and very low energy consumption. Our star light source draws less than one watt, does not require a large ventilated space, and it is rated to last over 50,000 hours.

Fiber-Optic Shooting Stars
Yes, we have fiber-optic shooting stars and they are awesome!
People always remember this and comment how they just love the
trailing and peaceful visual effects that occur. They consist of a
separate circuit board mounted also on the back of the StarDomes and
StarTile panels with 14 LED's that rapid-fire in sequence through
the fibers (From 70 fibers and up to 120 fibers per shooting star)
creating the closest thing yet as a shooting star trailing through
the atmosphere. They can be programmed from 30 secs and up to 20
