At Universal Seating, upholstered quality is handcrafted from the ground up. The manufacturing of all products begins with:
- A foundation of dried hard wood for maximum strength;
- Frames are assembled using a proven blend of modern technology and traditional craftsmanship;
- Joints are carefully reinforced;
- Springs are securely attached and padding is carefully placed.
The result is a STRONG DURABLE FRAME that is built to survive years of day-in/day-out use inside our beautiful styling, handsome fashion fabrics, and sumptuous leathers.

LIFE TIME WARRANTY:
All frames, springs and moving parts.
2 YEAR WARRANTY:
On workmanship, polyurethane foam and other filling materials all subject to normal usage.
5 YEAR WARRANTY – LEATHER:
Leather is a natural product and therefore each hide will reflect it’s own individuality. Some variations of shade and tone are to be expected as are the nicks, scratches, wrinkles and stretching that only occur in genuine leather.
Our leather is guaranteed to give satisfactory service a period of 5 years. This warranty does not cover damage due to cuts, burns or pet damage or problems resulting from unapproved cleaning methods. Do not expose to direct sun light – leather color will fade. A reasonable degree of humidity will allow the leather to maintain its suppleness.
Should service under this warranty be necessary, the purchaser must contact the authorized dealer. It will be determined by the dealer and/or our company representative whether repair or exchange will be necessary.
CONSTRUCTION-GENERAL FEATURE
FRAME:
All Universal Seating sofas, loveseats and chairs are constructed with the finest hardwood frames. The wood used is either maple or oak and also plywood. The wood is glued, double doweled, screwed, and stapled and support blocked.The Dowel pins are 1 ¾” x 5/16” Staples: 1 ¾” Screws: 1 ¾”
Wood joints plus corner blocks – special staple for arm “Corrugated fastener” in order to stabilize arms and sides.SPRING:
Seat: No-Sag spring / Gauge (8 MM.) The average sofa takes 15 springs, loveseat 10 and chair 6.
Back: No-Sag spring / Gauge (12 MM.) The back of the sofa takes 12 springs, loveseat 8 and chair 4.
*Cross wire support to help keep seat and back springs firm.
FOAM:
Leather set: Blue foam is used – Density 2 ¼ Lbs. Compression approximately 30 lbs. Softest foam but a very high quality.Fabric Set: White foam, density 2 ¼ lbs., compression approximately 30 lbs.
Backs are also made of foam and are wrapped as well for softness and durability with Fortrel or Dacron. To make foam softer and make the cushion better looking, it is wrapped with Fortrel or Dracon. Foam for some styles is cut and glued to create shape required.
