The AQ339 Aquasonic Underwater Speaker is the world’s only full-frequency, full-fidelity underwater speaker. This amazing speaker brings water to life, enabling a wide array of pool enthusiasts to enjoy the gift of music below the water’s surface.
During the early development of Clark Synthesis transducers, one of the design considerations the creators had in mind was using tactile sound technology to transmit sound through water. After several designs and modifications, the first underwater speaker from Clark Synthesis was successfully introduced in 1994 and the era of the world’s only full-frequency, full-fidelity underwater transducer had begun.
From that day forward, this underwater speaker, now branded as the Clark Synthesis Aquasonic Underwater Speaker, has been used in a multitude of applications. Perhaps the most common use is in recreational pools found in people’s backyards.
Since the Aquasonic can be easily integrated into a pool by either installing the speaker in a standard (large) light niche or by simply dropping it into the pool using a tether, homeowners have been able to give themselves the gift of clear, crisp, underwater sound. This ability has been especially appreciated by homeowners who use their pools on a regular basis for entertaining guests, exercising, and general recreational use. Additionally, children, who spend more time in the pool than perhaps any other member of the household, especially love being able to hear their favorite music while they swim and play.

This aspect of training is helpful when lap swimmers are working to improve form, technique, and speed.
Similar to lap swimmers, many synchronized swim teams have discovered the benefits of using the Aquasonic Underwater Speaker for training and competitions. Since the Aquasonic delivers full-frequency sound (which is one of the main features that sets the Aquasonic apart from its competitors), synchronized swim teams are able to hear the full audio range of the music they have selected.
By being able to hear the low-frequency (bass) elements of music while they are below the water’s surface, and by having the sound of the underwater music match the music being played on the “air speakers,” synchronized swim teams are better able to stay in tempo with the beat of the music.
